Our Story

BREWERY, FARM, & MARKET IN ONTARIO’S GARDEN

Meuse is an authentic farmhouse brewery inspired by those in Europe that present patience, simplicity, balance, and interesting fermentation character. Our beer incorporates our surroundings and local agriculture, to make beer tied to tradition and local terroir. The on-farm beer garden is a casual, relaxing setting to enjoy our beautiful home in Ontario's Garden. In our bottle shop you will also find an assortment of in-season locally grown produce, and locally produced food staples such as honey, maple syrup, and so much more.

WHY THE NAME

Meuse Brewing Company takes its name from the Meuse river that flows from France, through Belgium, and out into the North Sea via the Netherlands. Not only does this river flow through the region where our brewery draws our main beer inspiration from, it also connects the birthplaces of co-owners Mischa & Estelle.

The icon in our logo depicts the leaves of the eastern flowering dogwood tree. As an endangered tree that is native to our area we have adopted it as a living symbol of our commitment to responsible land stewardship and sustainable farming.
